1Canoe2 began its journey back in 2009 with the purchase of a big old letterpress by two best friends. It was this relationship that inspired the very name of the studio, representing the spirit of friendship, and sense of adventure found in their memories of canoe trips and campfires along the Missouri rivers with ‘one canoe, two girls’

We love the company’s cheerful ethos, centred around a deep appreciation and continuing curiosity of the beauty of nature. In each of their hand painted illustrations you are transported to Mid-West America and the homespun values of the founders, through watercolour landscapes, lush fauna and wanderlust inspiring phrases in the company's distinctive hand lettering. These paintings are transformed into a range of products from stationery to camping mugs, and a wide range of greetings cards for all occasions, including a range of greetings cards printed on the very letterpress that started it all.
