Emily McDowell Studio
Emily McDowell is a US greetings cards company with a very special story behind them. After her own personal battle with cancer, Emily officially launched the company in 2003 with her unique range of empathy cards. Cards which were created to give people a different way of communicating in situations when finding the right words to say became increasingly difficult.
In 2013 they officially launched their first collection of greetings cards and prints for wholesale. From the success of her empathy cards, Emily expanded her range into cards for all occasions, from birthdays, to congratulations, and cards 'just because'. In their own words;
“We make cards for the relationships we actually have, not the ones we wish we had, and we’ve made it our mission to help people connect when they don’t know what to say”
Emily's illustrations are full of wit and realism and now can be seen on other products such as mugs, tote bags, and journals. As well as their range of 'everyday bravery' pins and key rings that act as little daily reminders to congratulate ourselves on the little things!
